Requirements

Vaccination Requirements:

Dogs that are in heat or pregnant are not allowed at Coddled Critters. All dogs MUST be current on Rabies, DAPP and have a 6 month Bordetella. If your dog is ONLY coming for grooming, we only require an annual bordetella. However, if you are unable to pick up your pet within 30 minutes from receiving our “your pet is ready for pickup” text, your pet will be placed in daycare and a bordetella vaccine will be administered. All cats must be current on Rabies, FVRCP, and FELV. We do not require a fecal test for pets entering Coddled Critters. However we do recommend your pet be on a deworming medicine. We also recommend your pet be on a lice/tick control medicine. We do body checks regularly at Coddled Critters and our facility is EXTREMELY clean. With that said, this is an open play environment and pets transfer things easily. To protect you and your pet please discuss this with your veterinarian to ensure their health is always put first.

It is always your responsibility to ensure Coddled Critters has current vaccinations on file for your pet. Vaccinations can be uploaded to your pets online account. Please DO NOT email your vaccinations. If you do not provide current vaccinations at check in or upload them to your online account, we will not be able to accommodate your reservations and you will loose your deposit. Please ensure we have current vaccinations so this does not happen.

Pet Boarding Requirements:

Dog Boarding:

Please see Vaccination Requirements. All dogs MUST be in good health to board at Coddled Critters. We require an interview prior to entering our Play-All-Day Daycare at Coddled Critters. Play-All-Day Daycare is included in all of our boarding prices. All new clients receive a FREE daycare day prior to boarding with us so that we can assess the best daycare area for your pet. If your pet does not do well in the Play-All-Day daycare, a more structured play area may be a better option. If you are from out of state or unable to come in for the FREE daycare day, we can still accommodate your pups needs. We may reserve your pup in our structured play area and then assess your pup for Play-All-Day daycare at drop off. If your pup is human aggressive, we will not be able to accommodate your needs. We do not require an interview/assessment for cats but do recommend it.

Cat Boarding:

Please see Vaccination Requirements. We do not require an interview/assessment for cats however we strongly advise it. If your cat is too aggressive with humans, we will not be able to accommodate your reservation.

Food Requirements:

At Check-In, please ensure you put your pet’s food in a Ziplock bag with their first and last name labeled on ALL bags.  We will no longer be able to accept dog food in large bags or bins.  ALL pets must have their food in an individual Ziplock bag for each meal. Each bag MUST have the dogs name and meal on the bag. If Coddled Critters puts your pet’s food in ziplock bags, there will be a processing fee as this takes a great deal of time away from the dogs in the back and other clients. If you want Coddled Critters to feed your pup, we charge $3.00/cup. We can feed 3 meals per day if needed.

Please check your pets’ vaccines prior to check-in.  If your pet has expired vaccinations, please contact your vet for an updated list.  They can usually email them to you.  Please upload the vaccine document to your pet’s profile online.  If you are unable to do this, please bring them in with you at check-in.  We can look on your phone or you’re free to bring in a hardcopy.  We will no longer be able to contact your vet to get vaccines.  

Medication:

All medications MUST match the veterinarian’s instructions. Please bring medication in original vet/pharmacy packaging. We no longer can give insulin.

Check-In time: 

Although we do not have specific drop off and pick up times, we ask that if you are boarding your pup, you drop them off for check-in between 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.  These are our slower times of the day.  We always want to ensure we can give you and your beloved pet the attention they deserve.  Breakfast is served at 9:00 am, lunch is served at 12:00 pm and dinner is served at 4:00 pm.  Please note that if your pup is checked-in at 9:00 am or later, they will not be fed breakfast.  If they are checked-in at 4:00 pm or later, your pup will not be fed dinner.  Please keep this in mind so your pup is not too hungry on their arrival day.  

Check-Out Time:  

Although we do not have specific checkout times, we ask that if you are boarding your pup, you pick them up between 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.  These are our slower times of the day.  We always want to ensure we can give you and your beloved pet the attention they deserve.  Departing dogs ONLY receive breakfast.  After breakfast, all belongings are pulled from their kennel and the kennel is deep cleaned for the next pup.  Please keep this in mind so your pup is feed as soon as you get home to ensure they are not starving.  Breakfast is always served at 9:00 am.   

Daycare Requirements:

Play-All-Day Daycare: Please see Vaccination Requirements. All dogs MUST be in good health to enter the Play-All Day Daycare. All dogs MUST not be dog/human aggressive to enter the Play-All-Day Daycare Center. If your pup is dog aggressive, we can still accommodate their daycare needs in the Structured Play Daycare Center. All dogs MUST be spayed/neutered by 7 months to enter the Play-All Day Daycare center. There are no exceptions to this rule. If your pup is 7 months and is not spayed/neutered we can still accommodate their daycare needs in the Structured Play Daycare Center.

There are always 3 meals served each day. If you are interested in having your pet fed 3 meals per day, please ensure this is discussed at checkin.

There is ALWAYS a FREE daycare day for all new clients. This allows us to assess your pup to ensure Play-All-Day is the right environment for you pup. If your pup does not do well in the Play-All-Day daycare center, we can accommodate them in the Structured Play Area.

Structured Play Daycare: Please see Vaccination Requirements. All dogs MUST be in good health to enter the Structured Play Daycare. All dogs MUST not be human aggressive to enter the Structured Play Daycare Center.

Dog Grooming Requirements:

We do not groom cats. All dogs MUST be current on Rabies, DAPP and have a 6 month Bordetella. All dogs must NOT be aggressive towards the groomers. Its never ok for a dog to bite a human. We have zero tolerance for human aggression at Coddled Critters. The dogs safety is always a high priority but human safety is higher.

Grooming Daycare Fees:   

Open Play Daycare with any bath/groom is only $15 for the entire day.  Structured daycare with any bath/groom is only $25 for the entire day.     This fee will be added to your invoice if you are unable to pick up your pup within 30 minutes of your dog’s bath/groom being completed.  We CANNOT leave a dog in a salon kennel for longer than 30 minutes.  This is for the dog’s safety and to prevent the dog from having an accident in the kennel.  We understand if you do not want your dog to go back in daycare after his/her bath.  However, you will need to ensure someone picks up your pup within 30 minutes of receiving a text from our salon team.  Please ensure your primary phone number is updated in our system. The primary number will be the number that is texted.  If we have a different number and you do not pick up your pup within 30 minutes, you will be charged the daycare fee.  ALL pups will be moved into their designated daycare areas after 30 minutes.  We do have a senior area and a structured area so you pet does not get dirty from play.

Late Departure Fees:  

If your dog is boarding, there is a 12:00 PM departure time.  If you are unable to pick up your pet by 12:00 PM on departure day, you will be charged a half daycare fee.  This fee covers daycare for your pup till closing time that day. If you have scheduled a bath/groom for your pet, daycare is FREE all day. The late departure fee (half – daycare fee) is waved.

24 HR Notice for Early Pick Up:   

If your plans change and you would like to pick up your pet early, please allow us 24 hrs notice.  We have a long process for checking out your pet.  This process starts the day before you pick up your pet. For us to do our job well, we MUST follow this process.  If you do not give us at least 24hrs notice, you will be charged the overnight fee.  This fee is to incentivize clients to please let us know if you have changes in your schedule. Please call us so we can ensure you and your pet receive the best care possible and that you go home with everything you came with.
