Dog Park
When you’re away, you need to know that your pet is clean, safe and well-fed. You also need to know that your pet is happy. No pet owner wants to return to the boarding kennel to find their pet feeling depressed, mopey or anxious. At Coddled Critters Pet Resort, we know that a big part of your pet’s happiness is play! That’s why we provide your pet with ample opportunity to get out and run and socialize with other animals, and best of all, we do it in the way that best suits their size, age and personality.
While other kennels may offer a one-size-fits-all play space for their pet residents, we offer five spectacular, customized dog parks spanning our SLC doggie lodge grounds:
- Small park (for dogs 1-30 lbs.)
- Medium park (for dogs 30-55 lbs.)
- Large park (for dogs 55+ lbs.)
- Senior park (for aging dogs or those with disabilities)
- Structured playground (for aggressive or intact dogs)
After enjoying our play amenities, it’s not unusual to see returning pets wagging their tails and excitedly running up to our pet resort. We know that play isn’t just a luxury for your pet—it’s vital for their happiness and well-being. Whether your pet needs dog daycare or overnight dog sitting, we’ll make sure to spice it up with the play they need to be at their mental and physical best.
Dog parks are beneficial for both your dog and for you. It is a safe area for your dog to be off leash. When dogs are supervised properly, dog parks help create better behaved pets. They also have a chance to exercise and socialize with other dogs. Getting the right amount of exercise is vital for your pet’s wellness. This can be difficult if you are gone most of the day working. Our dog parks will allow your dog to release pent up energy. Here, they can run and play as hard as they want in an enclosed, supervised area. According to studies, dog parks are a proven way to prevent behavioral problems that stem from a lack of exercise. Your dog can run around, jump, bark, and play until they are exhausted. This is the healthiest way for them to release their energy.
If your dog barks incessantly, tears up furniture, chews everything, digs and jumps on you even when you tell them know, they are most likely lacking the ability to expend their energy and do not know what else to do. Our dog park and daycare can eliminate these behaviors and leave you with your shoes intact when you get home from work. Additionally, meeting other dogs can teach your dog how to play and socialize properly.
Our dog parks and staff create the best environment for your dog to run, play, and learn. We know once you try our facility, you will be impressed with how happy your dog is. They will be excited to come back, see their friends and learn new skills.
